In March, CCAB Certification emailed all current CCABs with some proposed changes to the case requirements for initial application. The proposal was well supported, with 73% of respondents in agreement. We are hugely grateful for the feedback we received, and took all aspects into account before making a final decision.
Decision regarding initial application (per species) for CCAB assessment:
Candidates will submit a case log of all the cases they have seen in the 24 months prior to assessment (unchanged). They will need to have seen at least one of each of the essential case presentations (unchanged). Beyond the essential case presentations, there is now no minimum number of cases the candidates must have seen. CCAB Certification maintain the recommendation that candidates gain a good breadth and depth of experience before applying for their assessment and in particular recommend experience/mentorship with a practitioner working to CCAB standards.
